Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Test Power BI dashboards for functionality, data accuracy, filters, drill-downs, bookmarks, and report interactions.
- Validate KPIs, charts, tables, slicers, and calculated measures.
- Perform SQL-based backend data validation against Power BI reports.
- Test GIS/map-based applications including:
- Map rendering
- Layers
- Markers
- Geospatial boundaries
- Coordinate accuracy
- Spatial filtering
- Heat maps
- Validate integration between GIS data sources and Power BI dashboards.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Execute regression, functional, integration, smoke, and UAT testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
- Create test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to resolve issues.




- Validate data refresh schedules and ETL processes.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Experience with spatial databases such as PostGIS.
- Understanding of ETL pipelines.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

Experience

- 35 years in QA Testing.
- Minimum 2 years of Power BI dashboard testing.
- Minimum 1 year of GIS application testing.
- Experience in data warehouse or BI projects is preferred.

Prerequisites:

Qualification - BE/B Tech

Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a test engineer.
