Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead the complete merchandising function for our Soft Plush Manufacturing division. The role involves managing the entire product lifecyclefrom product development and sampling to production, shipment, and buyer relationship managementwhile ensuring timely deliveries, cost optimization, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Sampling

- Lead the product development process based on buyer requirements and market trends.
- Coordinate with design and development teams for timely sample creation and approvals.
- Ensure all samples meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

Buyer Relationship Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for domestic and international buyers.
- Handle buyer communication, negotiations, costing discussions, order confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Build long-term relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Costing & Commercial Management

- Prepare and review detailed product costing.
- Work closely with sourcing and production teams to optimize costs without compromising quality.




- Ensure profitability and margin targets are achieved.

Order & Production Management

- Oversee order execution from confirmation to shipment.
- Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A;) plans.
- Coordinate with production, planning, procurement, and quality teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Resolve production bottlenecks proactively.

Vendor & Sourcing Management

- Manage sourcing of fabrics, faux fur, fillings, trims, and accessories.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, quality, and lead times with suppliers.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure products comply with international toy safety standards such as EN71 and ASTM.
- Coordinate inline, final, and third-party inspections.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to maintain quality standards.

Documentation & Shipment

- Oversee export documentation including PO, PI, invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and shipment tracking.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Textile, Fashion, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Merchandising, preferably in Soft Toys, Plush Manufacturing, Home Textiles, Toys, or Export Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of product development, sampling, costing, buyer handling, and production planning.
- Good understanding of international toy safety standards (EN71, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
