Role Summary
The Business Head Industrial Design Engineering & Utility Systems will lead the complete business vertical focused on industrial utility engineering, process infrastructure, and design solutions for advanced manufacturing industries including solar, semiconductor, battery, electronics, specialty chemicals, and industrial process plants.
The role involves strategic business development, technical leadership, project execution oversight, customer relationship management, team building, and P&L; ownership for utility engineering and industrial design projects.
The candidate should possess strong techno-commercial expertise in utilities such as HVAC, cleanroom systems, process gases, UPW, CDA, exhaust, chillers, electrical systems, fire systems, and industrial infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Strategy

- Develop and execute growth strategy for industrial utility and engineering business vertical.
- Identify opportunities in:
- Solar manufacturing plants
- Semiconductor and electronics facilities
- Battery & BESS manufacturing
- Chemical and process industries
- Data centers and industrial infrastructure

- Build relationships with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, investors, and manufacturing companies.
- Lead techno-commercial discussions with domestic and international customers.
- Develop annual business plans, revenue targets, and profitability strategies.

2. Technical Leadership

- Lead conceptual and detailed engineering for:
- HVAC systems
- Cleanroom systems




- Process cooling water systems
- UPW systems
- Industrial gas systems
- CDA and vacuum systems
- Fire fighting systems
- Electrical and utility distribution systems
- Industrial piping and infrastructure

- Review plant layouts, utility balance calculations, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and industrial safety practices.

3. Project Execution Oversight

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure successful execution of turnkey and utility infrastructure projects.
- Lead client coordination meetings and technical review discussions.
- Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.

4. Team Management

- Build and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Develop SOPs, engineering standards, and project execution frameworks.
- Mentor project managers, utility engineers, and design engineers.
- Coordinate with external consultants and technology partners.

5. Financial & Commercial Responsibility

- Manage complete P&L; for the business vertical.
- Prepare commercial proposals, costing, and bid strategies.
- Optimize engineering and execution costs.
- Support contract negotiations and project risk evaluations.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering.
- Masters Degree or MBA preferred.
- 12- 20 years of experience in industrial engineering, utilities, EPC, or manufacturing infrastructure projects.
- Strong exposure to advanced manufacturing facilities preferred.

Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred:

- Solar cell/module manufacturing
- Semiconductor fabs
- Lithium battery / BESS manufacturing
- Pharmaceutical plants
- Electronics manufacturing
- Chemical process plants
- Industrial EPC projects
