Technical Architect Java & Microservices

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in Java, Microservices Architecture, and Cloud-Native Technologies to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, define architecture standards, guide development teams, and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and drive application architecture, technical standards, and solution designs for enterprise platforms.
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure microservices-based applications using Java technologies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and technology evaluations.
- Establish best practices for application development, integration, performance optimization, and system reliability.
- Design and implement API-driven architectures, including RESTful and event-driven services.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including migration from monolithic to microservices architectures.
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, compliance, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies.
- Review code, identify technical risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support troubleshooting of complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java technologies.
- 3+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or Technical Architecture roles.
- Robust expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Solid knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in large-scale enterprise digital transformation programs.
- Knowledge of serverless and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- TOGAF or other architecture certifications are a plus.
