Key Responsibilities-

- Design and develop 2-wheeler gearbox and transmission system components.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
- Design transmission components such as:
- Gear shafts
- Spur/Helical gears
- Shift drum
- Shift forks
- Gear selector mechanism
- Clutch housing
- Crankcase transmission parts

- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T; standards.
- Convert concept sketches and 2D drawings into accurate 3D models.
- Perform assembly modelling, interference checks, tolerance stack-up, and design validation.
- Generate and maintain Engineering BOM (EBOM) and Manufacturing BOM (MBOM).
- Release engineering drawings and BOM through PLM/PDM systems.
- Implement and track Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and prototype teams during product development.
- Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
- Design jigs, fixtures, and gauges required for manufacturing and assembly.
- Prepare process flow documents and ensure timely completion of NPD milestones.
- Follow DFMEA, DFM, DFA, Kaizen,



Poka-Yoke, and safety standards throughout the product development cycle.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
- Experience in 2-Wheeler Gearbox & Transmission Design is mandatory.
- Good understanding of:
- Gear design fundamentals
- Transmission mechanisms
- Gear ratios
- Shaft design
- Bearings
- Splines
- Clutches
- Power transmission systems

- Knowledge of 3D modelling, surfacing, sheet metal, and assembly modelling.
- Experience in GD&T; and manufacturing drawings.
- Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems and engineering drawing release.
- Understanding of BOM creation (EBOM/MBOM).
- Familiarity with ECN/ECR process.
- Basic knowledge of welding, manufacturing processes, and machining.
- Valuable analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in motorcycle, scooter, or EV 2-wheeler transmission design.
- Exposure to complete NPD lifecycle from concept to production.
- Knowledge of prototype validation and manufacturing feasibility.
