Role & responsibilities
1. Will be responsible for driving the Financial Planning & Analysis function, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and variance reporting to support business objectives and strategic decision-making. The role will involve monitoring business performance against budgets and plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
2. The position will manage business performance reporting through the development and maintenance of management dashboards and analytical reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. Will analyze revenue, margins, profitability, sales performance, order intake, and contract-level financial metrics while preparing management reports and presenting key business insights to senior stakeholders.
3. The role will support commercial finance activities by reviewing pricing proposals, commercial terms, contract variations, and approval requirements, assessing financial exposure and profitability, identifying commercial and contractual risks, and partnering with business and sales teams to support commercial decision-making and revenue growth initiatives.
4. The incumbent will be responsible for revenue assurance and risk management by conducting financial reviews, contract analysis, reconciliations, and compliance assessments, reviewing financial instruments such as Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, and Advance Payment Bonds, ensuring adherence to internal controls and governance requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate financial and contractual risks.
5. The position will oversee working capital management activities, including monitoring accounts receivable and work-in-progress ageing, conducting credit risk assessments, preparing collection and ageing reports, supporting collection initiatives, and driving improvements in cash flow, receivables management,
and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
6. The role will support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, period-end adjustments, audit support, and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all reporting requirements in line with organizational timelines and accounting standards.
7. Will act as a finance business partner by collaborating with commercial, sales, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives, drive profitability improvements, enhance business performance, and enable informed decision-making across the organization.
8. The role will also lead process improvement and digital transformation initiatives by automating financial reporting processes, enhancing business intelligence solutions, improving reporting accuracy and data integrity, strengthening financial controls, and driving operational efficiencies through the effective use of Power BI, and other analytical tools.
9. Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team in evaluating business growth opportunities, M&A;, geographic expansion, and capital allocation decisions. Prepare financial models, business cases, and investor presentations for fundraising, due diligence, and board governance. Lead long-term financial planning and value creation strategies aligned with stakeholder expectations.
10. Investor & Stakeholder Relations Manage relationships with lenders, rating agencies, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present financial reports, investor decks, and due diligence materials. Ensure transparency, credibility, and timely communication of financial performance to all stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
2. 10-15 years with at least 1-2 years in a senior finance leadership role.
3. Prior experience in Manufacturing is a must.
4. Exposure to fundraising is an advantage.
