Preferred Background: Candidates preferably from garment manufacturing exports houses with strong experience in kids’ apparel for international brands.

1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Fashion Designer Head– Kids Wear who has worked with renowned international brands such as Zara, H&M;, Mango, C&A;, Primark, or similar. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of global trends, kidswear aesthetics, buyer expectations, and export market requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Develop seasonal collections for Kids Wear (Boys, Girls, Infant categories) aligned with brand standards, customer mood boards, and market trends.
- Create design concepts, sketches, CADs, and tech packs for sampling.
- Conduct trend research, forecast colors, fabrics, trims, prints, and silhouettes relevant to kidswear.
- Work closely with merchandising, sampling, pattern, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and timely sample execution.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, washes, and embellishments for styles based on costing and buyer requirements.
- Provide detailed guidance to the sampling team and ensure perfect sample development for buyer presentations.
- Review fit samples, make corrections,



and ensure final product meets brand specifications.
- Collaborate with the print develop/embroidery designers to develop artworks suitable for kids garments.
- Participate in buyer meetings, understand buyer preferences, and convert ideas into commercial designs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and new innovations in the kidswear category.
- Ensure all designs meet buyer technical standards and compliance requirements for kidswear safety (fabric standards, trims safety, etc.).
- Maintain an organized design archive, mood boards, and seasonal range sheets.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong experience in Kids Garments Design.
- Excellent knowledge of international fashion trends and export market requirements.
- Strong sense of color, fabric knowledge, and garment construction.
- Ability to create commercially viable designs for global brands.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with buyers and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

4. Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design / Apparel Design from a reputed institution.
- 8–12 years of experience in kidswear design with a garment manufacturing export house.
- Prior experience designing for international brands like Zara, Mango, H&M;, C&A;, Primark, Carter’s, or similar is highly preferred.
- Experience working closely with sampling and merchandising teams.
