Project Head NdFeB/Rare Earth Magnet Division (EV Applications)

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior business and technology leader to head the NdFeB/Rare Earth Magnet Division and drive its growth across EV and advanced mobility applications. The role demands robust understanding of magnet materials, powder metallurgy, EV applications, and the ability to convert technical capabilities into scalable products and sustainable business outcomes.

1. Business Strategy & Growth

- Define and execute the overall strategy for the NdFeB magnet business

- Identify growth opportunities in EV motors, traction systems, and advanced mobility

- Develop long-term roadmap for rare earth magnet manufacturing in India

- Build relationships with EV OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and motor manufacturers

2. Technology & Product Development

- Lead development of NdFeB magnet products for EV and industrial applications

- Define product specifications based on customer and application requirements

- Work with R&D; teams on material development and performance optimization

- Evaluate technology partners and licensing opportunities





- Drive innovation in magnet composition and processing

3. Manufacturing & Scale-up

- Lead setup and scale-up of NdFeB magnet manufacturing operations

- Establish processes for:

- Powder metallurgy

- Magnet pressing

- Sintering

- Machining and coating

- Optimize yield, cost and production efficiency

- Develop vendor ecosystem for rare earth materials and components

- Ensure quality systems and process control

4. Customer Engagement & Commercialization

- Engage with customers on technical and commercial discussions

- Translate customer needs into product and process requirements

- Support prototype development and validation

- Lead commercialization programs with OEMs

- Support long-term supply agreements

5. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

- Build partnerships with:

- Rare earth material suppliers

- Technology providers

- Research institutions

- Motor manufacturers

- Support localization initiatives

- Track global magnet technology trends
