Akyra Active Life, under the Jindmahia Group, is expanding its fashion portfolio and is looking for a creative and passionate Ethnic Wear Fashion Designer to join our team in Delhi. This role is ideal for a designer with strong expertise in Indian ethnic wear, market trends, fabric selection, and apparel development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative ethnic wear collections for women, including kurtas, suits, co-ord sets, dresses, and festive wear.
- Research fashion trends, consumer preferences, colors, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes.
- Create mood boards, design concepts, sketches, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with merchandising and production teams to ensure timely execution of collections.
- Source fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories suitable for ethnic wear.
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and garment construction processes.
- Ensure designs align with brand aesthetics and target market requirements.
- Work closely with vendors, artisans,



and manufacturing partners for quality execution.
- Monitor product performance and incorporate customer feedback into future collections.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor offerings.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from NIFT (preferred) or a reputed fashion institute.
- 3-5 years of experience in Ethnic Wear Fashion Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing ethnic wear collections and design expertise.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, embroidery techniques, garment construction, and Indian textile traditions.
- Excellent creativity, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in festive wear, contemporary ethnic wear, and fusion fashion.
- Knowledge of sourcing fabrics and trims from local and national markets.
- Understanding of current Indian fashion trends and consumer preferences.
- Strong attention to detail and product quality.
