Principal KAM Manager / Category Head E-commerce Marketplaces
About Healthy18
Healthy18 is an e-commerce distribution and enablement company working with brands across Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Meesho, and other online channels. We help brands grow through marketplace operations, seller and vendor business management, inventory planning, fulfillment, pricing, promotions, advertising coordination, reconciliation, and analytics.
We are looking for a Principal KAM Manager, also referred to as Category Head, who can own marketplace growth and profitability for assigned brands and categories.
Role Summary
The Principal KAM Manager / Category Head will own end-to-end business performance for assigned brands across Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, and other e-commerce channels. The role requires strong understanding of both seller-side and vendor-side marketplace models, including Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, FBA, Easy Ship, Seller Flex, Flipkart seller operations, and quick commerce ways of working.
The person must be comfortable owning revenue, margin, inventory, promotions, pricing, account health, channel relationships, and brandlevel reporting. This is a business ownership role, not only an account management role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Category and Brand Ownership
• Own monthly GMV, gross margin, contribution margin, inventory health, and account health for assigned brands and categories.
• Create monthly, quarterly, and festive-season growth plans across Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, and other relevant channels.
• Identify growth levers by channel, including selection expansion, availability, pricing correction, promotion planning, ads coordination, catalog quality, and inventory placement.
• Build strong operating rhythm with brands, internal teams, and marketplace stakeholders.
2. Marketplace Operations
• Manage day-to-day business across Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Blinkit/quick commerce portals, and other marketplace systems.
• Track POs, appointments, inwarding, fill rate, stock availability, listing suppression, buy box loss, pricing errors, account health issues, claims, returns, and payments.
• Work with internal operations, warehouse, finance, catalog, ads, and technology teams to resolve blockers.
• Ensure marketplace SLA compliance for order processing, dispatch, fill rate, ASN, appointment adherence, and stock reconciliation.
3. P&L; and Commercial Management
• Own brand-wise and channel-wise P&L.;
• Track sales, margin, channel deductions, marketplace fees, returns, damages, claims, ads spend, inventory holding cost,
and working capital blockage.
• Recommend pricing and promotion actions after evaluating margin impact.
• Negotiate with brands on schemes, claims, credit notes, aging inventory support, liquidation support, and promotional funding.
• Identify unprofitable SKUs, negative-margin channels, and high-return products. Drive corrective action.
4. Inventory and Demand Planning
• Prepare demand forecasts by SKU, brand, channel, and warehouse.
• Work with brands and internal procurement teams to ensure right stock availability before campaigns, sale events, and festive periods.
• Track aging inventory, slow-moving stock, excess inventory, and out-of-stock risk.
• Drive liquidation, return-to-brand, or promotion-led clearance for unsold inventory.
• Ensure inventory is aligned with marketplace requirements, regional demand, fulfillment model, and expected speed promise.
5. Brand and Marketplace Relationship Management
• Act as the primary business owner for assigned brands.
• Run weekly and monthly business reviews with brands covering sales, availability, margin, inventory, claims, receivables, marketplace performance, and action items.
• Build working relationships with marketplace category managers, vendor managers, KAMs, and account managers.
• Represent Healthy18 in discussions on growth plans, channel launches, campaign participation, issue escalation, and commercial closures.
6. Data, Reporting, and Business Reviews
• Create structured dashboards and reports for brand and internal reviews.
• Use Excel, marketplace reports, BI dashboards, and internal systems to identify business issues and opportunities.
• Prepare clear business narratives explaining what changed, why it changed, what action is needed, and who owns it.
• Track weekly performance against plan and escalate risks early.
7. Team Leadership
• Lead KAMs, category executives, and marketplace operations team members.
• Set transparent goals, review execution quality, and build operating discipline. • Train team members on marketplace basics, P&L; thinking, issue resolution, and brand communication.
• Create SOPs for recurring workflows such as PO tracking, stock planning, pricing checks, claim follow-up, and monthly business reviews.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in business, commerce, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in e-commerce category management, marketplace account management, vendor management, seller operations, distribution, retail, or business management.
• Strong working knowledge of Amazon and Flipkart marketplace operations.
• Experience with seller and vendor business models.
• Experience owning revenue, margin, inventory, pricing, promotions, and account health.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, dashboards, and large data handling.
• Ability to read marketplace reports and convert data into business actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, FBA, Easy Ship, Seller Flex, and Flipkart seller operations.
• Experience with Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, or other quick commerce platforms.
• Experience in FMCG, healthcare, home improvement, electronics accessories, personal care, or consumer goods categories.
• Experience managing brand-funded promotions, claims, credit notes, and aging inventory liquidation.
• Experience leading a small team of KAMs or category executives.
• Working knowledge of ads, catalog optimization, listing quality, buy box, pricing hygiene, and marketplace compliance.
• Experience with BI tools, ERP, OMS, WMS, or marketplace automation systems.

• Monthly GMV achievement against plan.
• Gross margin and contribution margin by brand and channel.
• Stock availability and out-of-stock reduction.
• Fill rate and PO fulfillment performance
• Aging inventory reduction.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has operated inside the e-commerce marketplace ecosystem and understands how growth actually happens: right selection, right stock, right price, right catalog, right channel relationship, and fast issue resolution.
The person should be analytical, commercially sharp, execution-focused, and comfortable working in ambiguity. They should be able to speak to a brand CEO in the morning, resolve a PO or pricing issue with the marketplace team in the afternoon, and review SKU-level margin leakage with finance by evening.
