Role & responsibilities

- Identify, approach, and build relationships with corporate CSR departments, foundations and philanthropic funders aligned with road safety, public health and social impact
- Develop compelling funding proposals and pitch decks tailored to different funder priorities (employee safety, community impact, ESG reporting needs)
- Manage the CSR pipeline end-to-end: prospecting pitching negotiation agreement fund disbursement impact reporting
- Ensure compliance with IIT Madras requirements, and funder-specific reporting obligations
- Work closely with internal teams and programmes to translate ongoing work into fundable, measurable initiatives
- Represent CoERS at CSR forums, industry events, and government-industry convenings in Delhi and Chennai
- Build and maintain a CRM/tracker of funder relationships, conversation status, and renewal cycles

Preferred candidate profile

5 to 10 years of experience in CSR fundraising, development sector partnerships, or corporate philanthropy, with a demonstrable track record of

funds raised (candidates should be prepared to speak to specific numbers/deals closed)

- Prior experience in the not-for-profit, social impact or CSR advisory sector strongly preferred
- Strong network among corporate CSR heads, CSR foundations, or intermediary organizations (e.g., United Way, GiveIndia, corporate foundations) is a significant advantage




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build credible relationships with senior corporate and government stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-style environment within an academic/government-adjacent institution
- Willingness to travel between Chennai and Delhi regularly, and to state locations as needed
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent in a relevant field preferred
