Role & responsibilities
Rolling out finance related strategies, manuals, and tools Management of organisational and program budgets, including budget creation, tracking, analysis, and reporting Ensuring pragmatic automation of financial and accounting processes in the organization Complete compliance with donor requirements and laws of the land Preparing concise and analytical summaries of budgets and financial status for GFSIs management and Board, including findings to inform decision-making Work closely with the program leadership and fund-raising teams to develop competitive and winning budgets for large grants and award announcements Preparing annual budget and mid-year financial reviews Ensuring that timely, accurate and relevant information is available to program and regional teams through trackers, financial reports and other online and automated reports Support financial communications and prepare donor presentations as needed Establish a system of internal audit in the company and be informed and agile to its feedback Perform other duties as assigned Presenting periodic analysis of the financial and cash position of the organization,
to the CXOs on a regular basis Ensure timely audits and compliance with audit requirements and implementation of external audit recommendations Work with the CXO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure compliant deployment, utilization and reporting of foreign fund receipts
Preferred candidate profile
Experience in budgeting and budget analysis Expertise in financial ratio analysis Proficiency in Computerized Financial Management/ Accounting packages, Microsoft Office, and newage financial software and applications. Zoho proficiency and experience will be a robust plus. Knowledge of the principles and practices of not-for-profit and trust accounting and financial management, including direct responsibility for managing large, restricted grants Knowledge of FCRA, GST, TDS, ROC, etc. Ability to work well in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with civil society organizations, project staff, and other beneficiaries Openness to feedback and strong listening skills are required Experience with donor finance reporting and ability to manage multiple donor projects independently. Experience of working with national/ international NGO will be given preference. Self-motivated, agile thinker with ability to juggle multiple priorities Strong time management skills and ability to manage various projects Partner management and mentorship abilities.
