Role & Responsibilities Overview

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that enable business decision-making across the organization.
- Rebuild and modernize 1,000+ legacy reporting assets, including migration of Cognos reports to Power BI and development of analytical outputs directly from Databricks.
- Develop robust Power BI data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and interactive visualizations following best practices.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve data from the modern Azure data platform, including Databricks Delta tables.
- Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks.
- Develop scalable data transformation solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems to create reliable and high-quality datasets for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Work with large datasets to ensure data accuracy, governance, performance optimization, and report reliability.
- Continuously improve reporting and data engineering processes through performance tuning and cost optimization across Azure services.
- Implement standardized development practices, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and version control using Azure DevOps.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams, participate in sprint ceremonies, manage deliverables, and collaborate with global teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide production support,



troubleshoot reporting and data pipeline issues, and recommend process improvements.

Candidate Profile

- 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer with exposure to Data Engineering projects.
- Hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and interactive reports.
- Robust expertise in SQL (Mandatory) for querying, optimization, and data transformation.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, report optimization, Row-Level Security (RLS), and deployment.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Good programming skills in Python for data transformation and automation.
- Experience working with the Azure Data Platform, including Azure Storage and Databricks.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise applications into reporting solutions.
- Exposure to Insurance domain data is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data quality best practices.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and release management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another relevant quantitative discipline.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
