Role & responsibilities

Mergers & Acquisitions

- Develop and maintain the company's M&A; strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Identify acquisition targets, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and investment opportunities across domestic and international markets.
- Lead end-to-end M&A; transactions including target identification, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, negotiations, deal structuring, documentation, regulatory approvals, and transaction closure.
- Prepare investment proposals and business cases for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Conduct commercial, financial, operational, and strategic due diligence.
- Manage post-merger integration plans to ensure realization of projected synergies and business objectives.

Strategic Initiatives

- Drive enterprise-wide strategic projects that improve competitiveness, profitability, operational excellence, and market expansion.
- Conduct market research, industry benchmarking, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Evaluate diversification opportunities, greenfield projects, capacity expansion, and recent business ventures.
- Develop strategic roadmaps and monitor execution of key business initiatives.
- Support annual strategic planning exercises and long-term business planning.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with business leaders to identify strategic priorities.
- Engage with promoters, Board members, investors, lenders, and external partners.




- Build strong relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, consultants, and industry networks.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, corporate governance standards, and transaction-related statutory obligations.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage transaction risks throughout the deal lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile

Education

- MBA (Finance/Strategy) from a premier institute preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.

Experience

- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in M&A;, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Investment Banking, or Strategic Consulting.
- Experience in the manufacturing, industrial, engineering, automotive, chemicals, capital goods, metals, or infrastructure sectors is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in executing acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and business transformation projects.
- Experience working with promoters, Board members, and senior leadership teams.
