Architect II- Senior Service Transition

Location: The role will be a hybrid position, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune
Shift: US Aligned shift- Night shift as per IST

Key Technical Skills

- Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent years of experience
- 8-10 years experience working in an IT engineering role, , managed services, service transition, technical implementation, or operations support roles.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, event management, service onboarding, or operational readiness activities for client environments.
- Experience working with managed infrastructure, managed security, cloud support, or hybrid IT environments.
- Exposure to reviewing Statements of Work, change requests, technical scope documents, or transition requirements to assess service readiness and supportability.
- Experience with CMDB data preparation, configuration item validation, asset details, documentation, and service setup readiness is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure domains including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, security tools, and end-user technologies.
- Ability to assess technical environments and determine monitoring, management, and support requirements for managed services onboarding.
- Ability to work in a structured transition environment, manage multiple onboarding activities, track dependencies, and meet defined timelines.




- Customer-focused mindset with robust attention to detail, ownership, and commitment to operational excellence.
- Familiarity with configuring SNMPv2 and SNMPv3 polling and traps. Able to perform SNMP walk of MIBS
- Working knowledge of
- Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers, and SDWAN devices
- Working knowledge of VMware (Microsoft Hyper-V, a plus)
- Working knowledge of and experience with Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory
- Understanding of enterprise class storage (NetApp, Pure, Isilon, Cohesity, Dell/EMC, HP/3Par)
- PowerShell and/or scripting experience
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco WebEx, Unity, Presence, and other collaboration solutions is a plus
- Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITIL Cert, a plus).

Job Summary
This role in the Service Transition Group is responsible for the setup of monitoring and management services to enable the Managed Services Solutions organization to effectively deliver managed services to Insights clients. Supporting the assigned Transition Manager, this role will work with Insight’s Sales and Architecture teams to understand the overall solution and services being delivered, focusing on the technology to formulate the requirements and plan to transition a client’s devices or services to Managed Services, which include, but are not limited to, Managed Infrastructure, Managed Security, and Insight Cloud 360 Support Services.
