We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor (QS) with experience in interior fit-out and civil works. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, BOQ preparation, billing, and cost control and site execution. This role requires active involvement in site execution and coordination to ensure projects are delivered within budget and established timelines.
Only candidates currently based in Delhi NCR will be considered.
Role & Responsibilities
- BOQ Preparation: Draft detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on architectural and interior drawings.
- Estimation: Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimation for interior and civil works.
- Rate Analysis: Conduct rate analysis and evaluate current construction and interior market rates.
- Vendor Management: Compare and negotiate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Billing: Prepare, verify, and certify contractor RA bills and final bills.
- Cost Control: Monitor costs and manage budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Variation Analysis: Evaluate variation orders and perform cost-impact analysis.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project managers, site teams, vendors, and clients.
- Execution Oversight: Actively participate in site execution to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and cost plans.
- Site Verification: Conduct on-site measurement verification,
track work progress, and coordinate quality standards.
- Travel: Perform site visits across India as per project requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare cost reports, cash flow statements, and MIS reports.
- Direct Communication: Present cost insights, project status, and financial updates directly to the Owners.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in interior fit-out and construction projects.
- Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, billing, and cost control and site execution/supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and interior drawings.
- Solid understanding of current market rates for materials and labor.
- Software: Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory; knowledge of estimation software is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings is required.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
