Job Title: Human Resource Manager
(Organizational Structure & Integration)
Industry : Retail
As our Human Resource Manager, you will be the chief architect of our internal culture and
structural framework. The home decor industry thrives on a unique blend of creative design,
fast-moving retail, supply chain logistics, and client experience. Your primary mission will
be to transition our growing organization from loose operations into a structured, scalable
business. You will lead the creation of foundational workplace policies and design programs
that integrate our diverse teamsfrom creative designers and product managers to sales,
marketing, and logistics staffinto a unified corporate culture.
Core Responsibilities
1. Policy Formation & Compliance
• Architect Foundational Policies: Design, implement, and update a comprehensive
Employee Handbook tailored to the unique workflow of a design-and-retail-driven
business.
• Standardize Operations: Create structured guidelines covering attendance,
remote/hybrid work models, creative IP protection, and retail/warehouse safety
standards.
• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all company policies comply with local, state, and
federal labor laws, mitigating risks across both corporate and retail/supply chain
operations.
2. Team Integration & Cross-Functional Alignment
• Bridge Creative & Commercial Teams: Develop communication frameworks and
integration workflows to align distinct business segments (e.g., matching creative
design timelines with procurement, marketing, and retail targets).
• Structured Onboarding:
Revamp the onboarding experience to ensure new hires
across all departments immediately understand the company's brand identity, mission,
and internal dependencies.
• Conflict Resolution & Culture: Serve as the objective mediator to resolve inter-
departmental friction, establishing a culture of mutual respect between the highly
creative and highly operational arms of the company.
3. Organizational Structure & Talent Management
• Define Roles & Hierarchy: Collaborate with leadership to map out transparent
organizational charts, remove overlapping roles, and write distinct KPIs for creative,
technical, and commercial positions.
• Performance Evaluation Frameworks: Establish transparent, objective review
cycles that value both creative output (for designers) and hard metrics (for
sales/logistics).
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 10 years in a
manager role. Experience within design-heavy, retail, e-commerce, or lifestyle
industries is highly preferred.
• Proven Tracker Record: Demonstrated success in building HR infrastructure,
writing comprehensive policies from scratch, and scaling a company's internal
structure.
• Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build rapport with
both highly creative, unstructured personalities and rigid operational managers.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or
Organizational Development. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a strong plus.
