Job Title: Senior Manager / Manager (Fundraising) - Development Team
Reports To: Senior Director - Development Team
Location: Okhla, New Delhi
Experience (in years): Minimum 3-10 years of experience with premier organisations
Nature of Work: Full-Time
Overview: As part of the Development team, the role will focus on conceptualising fundraising products and crafting compelling proposals for new donor acquisition and upsell, working closely with the Relationship Manager (RM). The role will also support donor engagement, reporting, and strong data and process management to enable effective fundraising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising Products, Proposals New Acquisition
- Work with the RM to conceptualise fundraising products and offerings aligned with institutional priorities and donor interests.
- Lead the development of high-quality proposals and pitch materials for new donor acquisition and upsell opportunities across India and Asia markets.
- Create transparent, persuasive PowerPoint and Word proposals to support donor conversations and deal closures.
- Liaise with academic, communication and development colleagues to gather inputs, refine narratives, and ensure accuracy and quality of proposals.
- Support the RM in closing processes, including preparation of MoUs, pledge letters, and related documentation.
2. Donor Prospect Engagement
- Support the RM in donor and prospect acquisition, engagement, and follow-ups.
- Conduct research on companies, UHNI and HNI prospects in target markets.
- Engage with existing donors to identify and develop upsell opportunities.
- Assist in managing donor interactions, visits, and information requests.
3. Data, Processes Reporting
- Manage outreach processes, prospect databases, pipelines, and CRM updates.
- Generate MIS, reports, and trackers to support fundraising and donor management.
- Lead timely and proactive donor and founder reporting, including project updates, scholarship reports, and impact documents.
- Manage founder/donor engagement trackers, repositories, and online reporting portals, ensuring all records are current and accurate.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proficiency in MS Office specifically excellent skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to operate online resources, databases and Google Sheets
- Excellent spoken and written communication in English
- Proficient in putting together proposals, presentations and reports
- Critical thinking and analytical mindset - the ability to join the dots
- Preferably have an interest towards economic and current affairs
- Ability to multitask and juggle several priorities at a time
- Strong process orientation, organised and disciplined with attention to detail
- Ability to respond in shorter timelines, adherence to strict deadlines; Open to work on weekends (on rare occasions)
- Good people, relationship, project, and time management skills
