Role & responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (VAT, Sales Tax, corporate tax etc.).
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and compliance.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and company policies. Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing training and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A;, Tax, and Operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives within accounting.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for senior finance leadership.
Preferred candidate profile
• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent)
• 57 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Robust technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in multinational or multi-entity environments preferred.
