We are seeking a disciplined and analytical Options Trader to execute and manage options trading strategies focused primarily on short volatility (theta) strategies, including short strangles and other income-generating option structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust positions based on market movements and volatility.
- Manage portfolio risk through Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta, margin utilization and position sizing.
- Ensure compliance with predefined risk limits.
- Hedge directional and volatility risk where required.
- Maximize theta decay while maintaining controlled risk exposure.
- Monitor economic events and volatility conditions.
- Maintain trade records and daily P&L;/risk reports
- Review performance and improve execution.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of options, Greeks, volatility, risk management, analytical skills, discipline, and proficiency with trading platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; qualified options trading experience; Python/Excel knowledge is a plus.
KPIs
Risk-adjusted returns, adherence to risk limits, P&L;, drawdown control, execution quality, and reporting accuracy.
