A candidate selected for this job role shall be fully responsible for the role of planning, commissioning, and leading projects from supply through to multi-year operations & maintenance, relating to Track maintenance machines and equipment. This role would largely cover:

- Commissioning and delivery of specified Track Maintenance Machines encompassing the growing fleet of the Company.
- Management of interests of the company during the execution of multi-year Operation and Maintenance contracts with end customers.
- Leading a fleet of 3-5 machines (different assets from small to large track maintenance machines). This includes the management of 50-100 manpower resources as part of the fleet.

The above key areas have been broadly sub-divided into the following:

Leadership and Talent Development

- Interaction with senior government representatives at designated time intervals to ensure objectives of the track maintenance machine programs are being achieved. This would involve travel to Zonal Railway Headquarters / Metro headquarters.
- Monitor machine personnel development and advise, augment, recommend revisions / additions in existing training modules and perform supplemental training needs.
- Lead machine personnel during machine offloading, movement and commissioning activities at customer designated locations.
- Develop commissioning plans and manage commissioning activities and post commissioning operation and maintenance.

Safety and Operational Excellence

- Responsible for consistent compliance with operating and safety practices across the fleet of assigned machines during commissioning activities and post commissioning operation and maintenance.
- Helping implement operating metrics that satisfy contractual obligations and lead to an environment of operational excellence as per the designated operation target for each machine per customer.
- Review all production reports, identify items for investigation and work with machine crews to ensure action/resolution.
- Monitor and ensure the appropriate level of equipment maintenance is being performed by using machine reporting, machine inspections & remote monitoring tools.




- Provide adequate and timely feedback to machine supervisors and management on gaps being seen in the maintenance schedules and activities and provide solutions for the same.
- Monitoring track maintenance work quality via daily reports, test sites review and rail inspections. Provide feedback to machine supervisors and management in this regard.
- Act as a bridge between machine operations within India and OEMs to ensure smooth resolution of challenges faced on the machine(s).

Business and Financial Management

- Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and explaining the Profit & Loss Statements for spare part consumption for the fleet as compared to those budgeted.
- Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and recommending to customer(s) the inventory levels to be maintained on the machines and in warehouses in order to achieve optimal asset utilization targets.
- Review all spare part(s) orders to identify trends and mitigate risk(s).
- Ensure timely placement of part orders on the OEM by the end customer(s).
- Ensure all supply obligations are satisfied on time.

Communications

- Coordinate with OEM Project Management and their CFT to develop delivery and commissioning plans.
- Monitor customer satisfaction in a timely fashion and provide critical feedback to all internal teams of the company.
- Review machine documentation such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; benchmark to OEM best practices and provide critical feedback to all internal teams of the company.
- Motivate, inspire, and educate machine operating and maintenance staff.
- Provide regular progress and status reports to leadership including but not limited to financial & operating metrics and giving insight into partner performance and growth.




- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding all aspects related to the fleet, manpower, etc.

Other Responsibilities

- Lead implementation of Asset Management tools /software to allow greater data availability and improved operational transparency.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency and achieve optimal asset utilization targets.

- Candidate must be fluent in English and Hindi.
- Candidates must be proficient in computers (MS Office Suite and other software).

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

- Certification in AutoCAD or similar Design Software.
- Certification in Lead/Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Certification in Lead Kaizen event or continuous improvement project.
- Certification/ Degree in Project Management and Project Management software.
