Job Description :-

Handling all,the Procurement/Sourcing activities which takes care of procuring of raw material like SS Scrap ,Fe Alloys, Refractories, Dolomite Etc Items globally

- Ferro Alloys like Ferro Chrome, Ferro Manganese, Ferro Silicon and Silico Manganese. Refractory for LRF, VOD furnace CCM Plant , Steel Melting shop comprising of EOF (energy optimising furnace) , Vacuum degassing unit , Ladle refining furnace (LRF), Billet Caster,Rolling Mill, Ferro alloys,Graphite electrodes , Lime , Mill Scale, , iron ore, scrap, other production and maintenance consumables , mini-max items , capital procurement and spares for running of 6.0 Lacs MT per annum steel plant
- knowledge of mechanical engineering processes like Incoming Vendor development & management, Packaging development, ISO Audits and SAP MM
- Ferro Alloys like Ferro Chrome, Ferro Manganese, Ferro Silicon and Silico Manganese.
- Fluxes like Bauxite, Quartz, Hydrated lime, Imported Dolo lime and quick lime, Dolomite and limestone
- Metals like copper and Aluminium
- Micro Alloys like Aluminium cored wire, Calcium cored wired and Titanium Cored wire

Logistics:-

Export Logistics , GST , Import & Export , ocean shipments and air shipments, interaction with shipping lines, airlines, major transporters, custom house agents, export import cargo documentation & formalities, import & export for multiple locations, EPCG, DEPB, Duty Draw back rules.

Managing logistics operations involving coordinating with transporters, C&F; Agents and other external agencies to achieve seamless & cost-effective transport solutions For Both In Bound and Out Bound Cargo. Liaising with regulatory authorities for obtaining necessary sanctions / clearances and ensuring compliance with various statutory obligations.

Materials Management & Control :-

Managing stores operations ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the production process.





Implementing effective techniques like ABC/ XYZ & Consumption Analysis to track the inward or outward movement of goods.

Conducting routine inspection & stock audits to ensure reconciliation of physical stock at the warehouse.

Cost Reduction :-

Involved in refining the ideas and making it happen Implementing strict measures in operating procedures to optimize resource/capacity utilization.

Contracts :-

- Formation of Purchase Contract, SAP PO for various types of raw material and capital P.O./Spares & consumables/Services and entered into vendor managed inventory with Suppliers.
- Negotiate suitable payment terms.
- Liaison with finance department for timely process to open the LC & release the fund to Suppliers.

Inventory Management:-

- Tracking & Maintain inventory levels for all items which we are procuring from various vendors.
- Processing purchase orders to ensure quick & correct dispatch so that monthly dispatch target can be achieved on time for making the arrival plan.

MIS :-

- Maintain the monthly report of pending POs.
- Preparation monthly MIT (Material in transit) report.
- Prepration of arrival plan.

Audit :-

- Represents our section to the internal & external auditors for compliance

Services And Contracts :-

- Drilling and Blasting Contracts
- Mining Transportation contracts and mining equipment hiring contracts
- Repair , Installation Contracts for various steel plan and mining equipments
- Construction of current building and repair of building Contracts
- Maintenance contracts for all mining equipments
- Transportation Contracts
- Refractory lining contracts
- and M Contracts of power plant and coke plant
- Canteen and other services contract

Sourcing and Vendor Development :-





- Forwarding the quotes to the sales person (RFQ to Quote conversion) and meeting the ceiling price of client through intensive negotiation with the vendor
- Vendor Rating (Vendor KYC)
- Purchase Order Placement and Order Fulfilment Expediting
- Weekly MIS reporting about the RFQ pendency and getting it reviewed from the CFO
- Sourcing areas: MRO (Fasteners, Bearings, Hand tools, Adhesives, Material Handling equipments and electrical consumables)

Desired Candidate:-

- Must be engineering graduate with minimum 15 year Experience in Purchase (Raw Materials).
- Should have exposure in Large Integrated Steel Plant.
- Should have good negotiation skills.
- Evaluating and adapting systems / policies / procedures for ensuring smooth functioning of procurement and materials management functions. Preparing MIS & project review reports with a view to monitor the progress of projects & facilitate critical decision-making process.

Candidate Qualification : -

BE. Mechanical/ Metallurgy / DIP - Mechanical OR Any Graduate + P.G. Diploma in Materials Management
