Role and Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager – Partnerships & Insights, you will play a key role in
strengthening and expanding SLF’s portfolio of high-impact financial partnerships.
You will support fundraising strategy, manage donor relationships, and ensure
high-quality proposal development and reporting. This role requires greater
ownership, coordination across teams, and proactive contribution to partnership
growth.
You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to build and
sustain relationships with corporates,
international foundations, and multilateral
agencies.
Your responsibilities include
1. Fundraising Strategy & Business Development
- Support implementation of SLF’s fundraising strategy across corporate,
philanthropic, and institutional donors.
- Identify and pursue new CSR and institutional funding opportunities.
1 Monitor donor portals and funding calls; track relevant grant opportunities.
- Contribute to pipeline development and donor prospect tracking.
2. Proposal Development & Reporting
- Lead coordination for development of high-quality proposals, concept
notes, presentations, and donor reports.
- Ensure proposals are well-structured, accurately budgeted, and
aligned with donor priorities.
- Coordinate inputs from program, communications, and finance teams
to ensure timely submissions.
3. Donor Relationship Management
- Manage ongoing engagement with assigned donors, including meetings,
review calls, field visits, and volunteering initiatives.
- Ensure timely and thoughtful communication with partners.
- Support donor retention and renewal efforts through consistent
engagement and performance tracking.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with program, finance, and communications teams to gather data,
updates, impact stories, and financial information.
- Ensure internal alignment on donor commitments, deliverables, and
timelines.
5. Knowledge & Systems Management
- Maintain and regularly update the donor database, grant tracker, reporting
calendars, and contact records.
- Support documentation and compliance processes related to incoming
grants and donations.
6. Communication & Collateral Development
- Contribute to development of fundraising collaterals, including brochures,
decks, newsletters, and impact notes.
- Support positioning and messaging efforts to enhance donor visibility and
engagement.
7. Innovation & Strategic Positioning
- Identify opportunities to enhance donor experience and fundraising
outcomes.
- Support efforts to position road safety within broader development themes
such as public health, gender equity, and urban development.
Professional Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in fundraising, CSR partnerships, donor management,
or proposal development (non-profit or CSR experience preferred).
2 Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM platforms preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within timelines.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments.
