Job Description Commodity Lead (Heavy Fabrication & Development)

Location - Delhi

Designation: Deputy Manager

Commodity Ownership

* Own sourcing and development of Heavy Fabrication commodities including chassis, loader arms, booms, welded structures, brackets, fabricated assemblies, sheet metal and machined components.
* Additional exposure to other commodity groups is desirable.

Commercial

* Expertise in Zero-Based Costing (ZBC) and detailed cost breakdown for heavy fabrication, welded assemblies, machined and sheet metal parts.
* End-to-end commercial ownership including RFQ, cost analysis, negotiations, cost settlement and productivity initiatives.
* Solid understanding of fabrication processes, machining, material costing and manufacturing economics.
* Exposure to commercial management of other commodity groups is an advantage.

Supplier Development & Quality

* Lead supplier selection, development and qualification.
* Drive APQP, PPAP, process capability, quality improvements and supplier performance.
* Ensure quality, delivery and cost targets throughout the product lifecycle.





Project & Localization

* Manage end-to-end localization and new development projects for global supply.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, SCM and suppliers from concept to SOP.
* Experience in global supplier development and international sourcing.

Technical & Functional Skills

* Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
* Good understanding of import/export processes and global supply chain.
* Advanced Excel skills for cost models, project tracking and data analysis.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
