Role Overview
The Associate Communications will support ISPP's Marketing & Communications team in building the institution's digital presence through compelling storytelling, engaging multimedia content, and strategic audience engagement. The role involves creating platform-specific social media content, capturing and editing videos and photographs, supporting communication campaigns, and contributing to ISPP's overall brand visibility across digital platforms.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, social media trends, and digital engagement, along with the ability to independently produce high-quality multimedia content for a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media & Digital Content
- Create engaging and visually strong social media creatives, carousels, reels, and campaign assets for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and YouTube
- Develop content aligned with ISPP's brand identity and communication goals
- Assist in planning and executing the social media content calendar
- Write compelling captions and communication copy
- Stay updated with digital trends, formats, and audience engagement practices
- Track and monitor conversations related to ISPP, public policy, higher education, and relevant social themes across platforms such as Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Instagram
- Track social media analytics
- Identify emerging trends, audience sentiments, and engagement opportunities
- Support the team in building stronger digital visibility and community engagement
- Contribute ideas for reactive content, trend-based storytelling, and audience engagement formats
Video Production & Multimedia (Core Requirement)
- Capture high-quality photos and videos during events, lectures, interviews, student activities, and institutional engagements
- Edit videos for reels, campaigns, event recaps, interviews, promotional content, and digital storytelling
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is mandatory
- Ability to independently edit platform-ready content with subtitles, transitions, audio balancing, graphics, and formatting
- Convert long-form content into engaging short-form digital assets
- Understanding of pacing, storytelling, framing, and visual composition for social media content
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of visual storytelling
- Proficiency in Canva
- Solid working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (mandatory)
- Good photography and videography skills (mandatory)
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Hindi
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines efficiently
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, digital content, social media, or multimedia production
- Experience working with educational institutions, nonprofits, media organisations, or creative agencies is preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools will be an added advantage
Compensation
The salary range is between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000, based on qualifications and experience, consistent with ISPP's standards.
