Job Title: Regional Manager Street Lighting Business

Location: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhuvaneshwar,Delhi

Role Overview

The Regional Sales Head will drive revenue growth and market expansion for the street lighting business, including LED streetlights, Solar streetlights, smart lighting solutions, and turnkey/EPC projects. The role requires strong expertise in government sales, institutional business, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth

- Develop and execute sales strategies for street lighting products and projects
- Drive revenue across government, municipal, and institutional segments
- Identify new business opportunities in urban and rural lighting initiatives

2. Government & Tender Business

- Lead participation in tenders (state/central government, municipal corporations)
- Manage end-to-end tendering process (identification, bidding, submission, follow-ups)
- Build relationships with key government departments, utilities, and agencies

3. Key Account Management

- Manage large accounts such as municipalities, smart city projects, and infrastructure developers
- Develop long-term partnerships with government bodies and EPC contractors

4. Channel & Partner Development

- Build and manage distributor/dealer networks where applicable
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, system integrators, and project consultants
- Strengthen presence across target regions

5. Team Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team
- Set targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Drive accountability and performance culture

6. Project Sales & Execution Coordination

- Work closely with project execution, operations, and supply chain teams
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to execution
- Monitor project timelines, closures, and collections

Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy

- Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and policy changes
- Identify emerging opportunities (smart lighting, IoT-based systems, ESCO models)
- Provide insights to product and leadership teams

8. Forecasting & Reporting

- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and business reports
- Monitor revenue, margins, and collections
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment follow-ups

Key Requirements

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred) / Business / Marketing
- MBA preferred

Experience:

- 12+ years in sales, with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Strong experience in street lighting, LED lighting, infrastructure, or electrical products
- Proven experience in government tendering and project sales

Skills & Competencies

- Deep understanding of government procurement and tendering processes
- Strong network with municipalities, PWD, utilities, and smart city bodies
- Expertise in project sales and EPC business models
- Leadership and team management skills
- Robust negotiation and contract management abilities
- Financial acumen (margins, costing, project profitability)

Preferred Background

- Experience in LED street lighting, smart lighting, or IoT-enabled lighting systems
- Exposure to ESCO / PPP models in public lighting
- Experience working with Smart City or urban infrastructure projects
