Revised:

Area Head position is to establish and manage a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Skilling Centre and become the partner of choice for EV industry stakeholders within the assigned geographical area. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring EV skilling programs while ensuring quality training, industry partnerships, and successful placements.

Objective

Replace with:

- Establish and operate EV Training Centres to serve aspiring EV technicians and industry partners.
- Plan and implement outreach activities to mobilize candidates for EV training programs.
- Ensure high-quality EV training delivery and centre operations.
- Build robust partnerships with EV manufacturers, dealerships, service centres, charging infrastructure companies, and employers.
- Achieve enrolment, certification, placement, and centre performance targets.

Add the following responsibilities:





- Ensure availability and maintenance of EV lab equipment, batteries, charging stations, tools, and workshop infrastructure.
- Coordinate with EV OEMs, dealerships, service centres, fleet operators, and charging infrastructure companies for placements.
- Monitor practical training, lab sessions, and workshop activities to ensure industry-standard EV training.
- Organize employer connect programs, industry visits, guest lectures, and placement drives for EV trainees.

Desired Attributes

Replace with:

- Familiarity with the Electric Vehicle ecosystem.
- Experience in EV training, automotive training, or skill development.
- Experience in budgeting, operations, employer engagement, and team management.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA or Master's Degree in Management/Social Work will be an added advantage.
- EV certification is preferred.

Desired Experience

3–8 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in managing a technical training centre, EV training centre, automotive institute, or skill development operations.

This will transform the existing Area Head – Youth JD into an Area Head – EV JD while keeping the original DRF structure intact.
