Job Description

The employee will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining regulatory documentation and managing product certification activities to ensure compliance with applicable national and international regulations. The role involves close collaboration with R&D;, QC/QA, Supply Chain, Marketing, and external certification agencies to support compliant product development and commercialization

Job Responsibilities & Duties

a) Prepare, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Certificates of Analysis (COA), Product Specifications, and other regulatory documents for existing and newly developed products

b) Ensure all product documentation is updated regularly in line with product changes and applicable regulatory requirements.

c) Manage end-to-end certification activities, including maintaining certification records, coordinating with certification bodies for new certifications and renewals, preparing and submitting regulatory documentation, and ensuring timely approvals and ongoing compliance with applicable standards.

d) Collaborate with QC/QA teams for routine regulatory documentation and product compliance activities

e) Ensure compliance with GHS, REACH, ECHA, CLP, and other applicable regulations through SDS authoring, hazard classification, labeling, and interpretation of regulatory requirements, including toxicological and chemical hazard assessments.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining audit-ready documentation and monitoring regulatory updates to ensure continued compliance.

g) Maintain working knowledge of certification schemes such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT, ZDHC, REACH, Halal, Green Seal, Cradle to Cradle, and other relevant industry standards.

Job Requirements

A successful candidate will have:

a) A Master's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Textile Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline from a recognized university, with 57 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Documentation, and Certification Management, preferably in the chemical or textile industry.

b) Hands-on experience in SDS authoring, technical specifications, GHS classification, regulatory documentation, and working knowledge of ECHA, REACH, CLP, and other applicable chemical regulations, including toxicological data interpretation.

c) Solid documentation, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

d) High attention to detail, ownership, integrity, and commitment to quality, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with regulatory documentation software will be an added advantage.
