About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer Snowflake to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Snowflake, data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and cloud technologies. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to build high-performance data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Architect and optimize data pipelines, data models, and data integration frameworks.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using up-to-date data engineering tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements.
- Drive performance tuning, query optimization, and cost management within Snowflake environments.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Support production deployments, troubleshooting,



and root cause analysis of critical issues.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the data ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 7–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Engineering.
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and database design.
- Experience in designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran, DBT, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake features including:
- Snowpipe
- Streams & Tasks
- Time Travel
- Zero-Copy Cloning
- Data Sharing
- Virtual Warehouses
- Performance Tuning & Optimization

- Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, or similar programming languages.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control tools such as Git.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced Certifications).
- Experience with Data Lake architectures and modern cloud-native data platforms.
- Exposure to orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
