JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Management Trainee (Store Executive)
Job Purpose
The Store Executive plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the store within the industrial catering unit. The role is responsible for coordinating with the Base Procurement Team for material requisitions, managing inventory, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring accurate ERP transactions, and supporting smooth day-to-day store operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Requisition & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with the Base Procurement Team to assess site requirements and process material requisions.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile stock with ERP records.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage, shortages, and overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and material handling practices.
2. Vendor Coordination & Performance
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain qualified relationships with approved vendors.
- Assist in evaluating vendor performance based on delivery timelines, product quality, and service standards.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged materials, or quality discrepancies in coordination with Procurement.
3. ERP Management & Documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all store transactions in the ERP system.
- Maintain proper documentation for Goods Receipt Notes (GRN),
stock transfers, material issues, and returns.
- Generate ERP reports to monitor inventory, consumption trends, and stock movement.
- Support ERP data accuracy through regular audits and reconciliation.
- Guide store staff on ERP usage and ensure compliance with data entry procedures.
4. Team Management
- Support the Store Manager in supervising daily store activities.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train and guide store personnel on store procedures, inventory management, and ERP practices.
- Conduct regular team briefings to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
5. Operational Support
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing activities.
- Ensure timely receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all materials.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen and operational teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Address operational issues promptly and escalate concerns when required.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of storage areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure safe storage practices.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards in all store operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in store operations, preferably in industrial catering, hospitality, food service, or retail.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, ERP systems, and procurement processes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Education & Experience
- Higher Secondary (12th) or Diploma/Graduate in Business Administration, Hospitality, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in ERP-based inventory management is preferred.
Preferred Candidates: Willing to relocate, Stay and Work in company's food and Accommodation.
Employment Terms
- Internship/Probation Period: 3 months (based on performance and business requirements).
- Stipend: As per company policy during the internship period.
- Confirmation: Upon successful completion of the internship, the employee will be confirmed as a full-time Store Executive.
- Full-Time Salary: 25,000 per month effective from the 4th month, subject to successful completion of the internship/probation and management approval.
