Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E.) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized university.
- Additional certifications in Industrial Automation, Functional Safety (SIL), ISA, IEC standards, or DCS/PLC systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Instrumentation Maintenance within the Chemical Process Industry.
- Proven experience in leading instrumentation maintenance teams comprising engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Hands-on experience in continuous process plants with strong exposure to plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.

Technical Competencies

- Strong knowledge of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, flow instruments, analyzers, transmitters, control valves, actuators, and final control elements.
- Expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems.
- Experience in calibration, loop checking, interlock testing, logic validation, and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
- Sound understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Familiarity with Functional Safety (SIL), IEC, ISA, and other applicable industrial standards.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), reliability improvement, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.




- Exposure to automation upgrades, digitalization initiatives, and energy efficiency projects.

Leadership & Management Skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary instrumentation teams.
- Strong planning and execution skills for maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, spare parts management, procurement planning, and vendor management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Safety departments.
- Experience in developing SOPs, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Thorough understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP studies, Management of Change (MOC), and permit-to-work systems.
- Commitment to maintaining calibration records, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices applicable to chemical manufacturing facilities.
