Role & responsibilities

- Understand project requirements, business logic, and functional specifications.
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on requirements.
- Perform Manual Testing of web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after changes.
- Conduct Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
- Validate UI, workflows, forms, reports, and business processes.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Validate database records using SQL queries when required.
- Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to resolve issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings in Agile environments.
- Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect reports.




- Ensure applications meet quality standards before production deployment.
- Assist in preparing release verification checklists.

Preferred candidate profile

- Valuable understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and defect life cycle.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic understanding of API testing using Postman.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 year to 2 year of experience in Manual Testing.
- Basic exposure to automation testing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git is a plus.
