Key Responsibilities

- Gather business requirements from data governance/functional stakeholders and translate them into MDG data models and workflows
- Configure data models for standard MDG domains Material (MDG-M), Business Partner/Customer/Vendor (MDG-BP), Finance (MDG-F), or custom objects
- Design and configure change request (CR) types, workflows, and business rules for create/change/mark-for-deletion processes
- Configure data replication using ALE/IDoc or DRF (Data Replication Framework) to distribute governed data to target systems (ECC, S/4HANA, non-SAP)
- Set up validation rules, derivations, and duplicate check configurations to ensure data quality
- Configure data model enhancements entity types, attributes, relationships — and UI adaptations using Floorplan Manager (FPM) or Fiori-based UIs
- Integrate MDG with Data Quality Management (DQM), match/merge, and consolidation processes for master data cleansing
- Support Central Governance, Consolidation, and Mass Processing scenarios
- Configure workflow agents, rule-based workflow routing, and approval hierarchies (BRF+)
- Collaborate with functional module teams (MM, SD, FI) to align master data governance with downstream business processes
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments (BAdIs, RICEFW objects) and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams
- Conduct unit testing,



integration testing, and support UAT and cutover activities
- Provide production support, troubleshoot workflow/data replication issues, and resolve incidents
- Prepare documentation: business blueprints, configuration guides, test scripts, and training material
- Participate in client workshops for data governance strategy, data model design, and solution walkthroughs

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Robust hands-on configuration experience in SAP MDG (Material, Business Partner, Finance, or Custom domains)
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles
- Experience with BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus) for workflow and validation rule configuration
- Knowledge of Data Replication Framework (DRF) and ALE/IDoc-based data distribution
- Working knowledge of Floorplan Manager (FPM) or Fiori UI configuration for MDG
- Experience in at least 1–2 full-cycle SAP MDG implementation or support projects
- Understanding of integration points with MM, SD, FI/CO, and other master-data-consuming modules
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- SAP certification in MDG is a plus
