Refex is looking to engage with an experienced semiconductor industry leader as a Head / Consultant Semiconductor to help shape our understanding, strategy, and potential participation within India's evolving semiconductor and electronics ecosystem.

This role is intended for someone who brings deep industry experience, ecosystem relationships, and strategic perspective across one or more areas of the semiconductor value chain including design, manufacturing, OSAT/ATMP, materials, equipment, embedded systems, power electronics, or semiconductor-led industrial applications.

The individual will act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to leadership while helping Refex evaluate opportunities, partnerships, technologies, and long-term positioning in the space.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise leadership on the evolution of India's semiconductor ecosystem and global industry trends.
- Identify strategic opportunities aligned with Refex's businesses in energy, mobility, healthcare, and electronics.
- Evaluate potential areas of participation across semiconductor design, manufacturing, packaging, electronics systems, and supply chains.
- Build relationships with ecosystem participants including industry leaders, policymakers, research institutions, startups, and technology partners.
- Support strategic assessments, market studies, partnership discussions, and capability mapping exercises.
- Provide insights into policy developments, incentive structures, investment trends, and emerging technologies.




- Help define long-term strategic roadmaps and participation models for Refex in the semiconductor domain.
- Represent Refex in relevant industry forums, ecosystem discussions, and strategic engagements where required.

Ideal Profile

- 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor or electronics ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor value chains, market dynamics, and emerging technology trends.
- Experience across areas such as semiconductor fabrication, chip design, ATMP/OSAT, embedded systems, power electronics, EMS, or semiconductor materials/equipment is preferred.
- Deep industry network across corporates, startups, academia, research institutions, and policy bodies.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect technology evolution to business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and capable of working in an evolving and exploratory setting.
- Prior advisory, leadership, ecosystem-building, or consulting experience will be an advantage.

1. Semiconductor backend ecosystem

- Compound Semiconductor Fab
- OSAT / Advanced Packaging

2. Electronics manufacturing ecosystem

- Copper Clad laminates
- PCB Manufacturing




- Specialty EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services)
- Camera Module Assembly

3. Display and optics ecosystem

- Camera Lens Manufacturing
- Display Modules (especially Transparent Displays)

Given the complexity, capital intensity, and ecosystem-driven nature of these sectors, we believe it is important to bring in a combination of 12 senior professionals with complementary strengths:

- One ecosystem strategist/operator with strong industry relationships, market access, and business-building experience
- One deep manufacturing and technology execution expert with operational and technical leadership experience
