Job Purpose:

The Area Head Technical Services (UBS) is responsible for strengthening UltraTech’s technical engagement with channel partners, influencers, and end customers. This role ensures superior customer experience through technical support, product application guidance, site-level interventions, and capability building of dealers, retailers, and masons—driving volume growth, brand positioning, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Customer Engagement

- Provide on-site technical support to customers, contractors, and influencers (engineers, architects, masons)
- Resolve product application issues and ensure correct usage of UltraTech products
- Conduct site visits for troubleshooting, complaint resolution, and performance assurance

2. Channel Partner Enablement

- Train dealers, retailers, and UBS partners on product features, benefits, and application techniques
- Develop technical capability among channel partners to enhance customer conversion and retention
- Support UBS stores in delivering value-added technical services to customers

3. Complaint Management

- Lead end-to-end handling of customer complaints with a solid focus on resolution TAT
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and service quality standards

4. Brand & Product Promotion





- Support sales teams in promoting value-added products (VAPs) through technical demonstrations
- Conduct technical workshops, mason meets, and awareness programs
- Position UltraTech as a “solution provider” rather than just a cement supplier

5. Business Support

- Collaborate with Sales teams to drive demand generation through technical influence
- Support new product launches and market penetration strategies
- Provide field insights to marketing and product teams for continuous improvement

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to product quality standards at the application stage
- Monitor site practices and recommend best construction methodologies
- Promote secure construction practices and technical compliance

7. Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead and manage the Technical Services team across the assigned area
- Drive performance through clear KPIs (complaint closure, trainings, site coverage)
- Build a strong technical talent pipeline and enhance team capabilities

8. Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D;, and Supply Chain teams
- Build strong relationships with key influencers (contractors, builders, engineers)
- Act as a bridge between market requirements and internal teamsRole & responsibilities
