Job Description:

3 to 25 years of experience in VMC programming, setting, and machining in a tool room and production workplace

We are seeking an experienced VMC Programmer Cum Setter for our Tool Room and Production department. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating VMC machines to manufacture precision tooling and production components while ensuring quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

Role & responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, and technical specifications.
- Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs using G-code or CAM software.
- Set up VMC machines, including fixtures, workpieces, cutting tools, and tool offsets.
- Manufacture tool room components such as mould parts, dies, jigs, fixtures, and precision tooling.




- Machine production components according to drawings and quality standards.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, and work-holding methods.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues to minimise downtime.
- Optimise machining processes to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and extend tool life.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain production records and comply with company quality and safety procedures.
