The NOC SME (L1L2) is responsible for providing advanced first- and second-line network monitoring| incident resolution| and operational excellence across enterprise network environments. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with SME-level guidance| ensuring high service availability and mentoring junior NOC staff. The role focuses on rapid incident detection| analysis| resolution| and escalation| while driving stability| standardization| and continuous improvement within the NOC. In practice| the work intake is heavily driven by store operations and connectivity events such as Emergency Store Closing (ESIP redirect execution verification)| WAN broadband outages and performance degradation (packet loss latency)| store power events| LANIDFMDF switch issues| and telecom life-safety communication faults (e.g.| fire alarm panels and store phones). The NOC SME (L1L2) is expected to quickly triage| restore service (or activate confirm failover)| and coordinate escalations with internal engineering teams and external carriers vendors.
Key ResponsibilitiesL1L2 Network Monitoring Incident Response Continuously monitor enterprise networks using NMS and observability tools. Perform L1L2 troubleshooting for network alerts| incidents| and service degradation. Diagnose and resolve issues related to LAN| WAN| Wireless| Firewall| VPN| and Internet connectivity. Storewide outage triage and failover validation (cellWAN2Identify root cause indicators and escalate to L3Engineering teams with detailed analysis. Own incident tickets through resolution ensuring SLA and quality compliance. Incident| Problem Change Support Handle P2P3 incidents independently and provide solid initial triage for P1Major Incidents. Support Incident Managers during major outages with technical inputs and status updates. Correlate alerts to detect broader network impacts and prevent repeat incidents
