Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Production Engineer to oversee daily production operations, monitor production planning, achieve production targets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in production planning, SAP, robot welding processes, laser cutting operations, assembly, fixture fitting, shop floor management, and lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and monitor daily production plan vs. actual production and ensure target achievement.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Perform daily production follow-ups and resolve production-related issues.
- Update production orders, confirmations, and reports in SAP.
- Monitor machine utilization, manpower productivity, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Supervise Laser Cutting Machine operations and monitor productivity, material utilization, and quality.
- Supervise Robot Welding operations and optimize welding cycle time and productivity.
- Oversee assembly operations and ensure products are assembled according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Monitor fixture fitting, fixture validation, and maintenance to ensure proper alignment, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room and Maintenance teams for fixture modifications and preventive maintenance.
- Analyze production losses, downtime, and rejection trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Visual Management practices on the shop floor.
- Drive continuous improvement using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
- Monitor production KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime,



and on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports.
- Support Current Product Development (NPD), process improvements, production trials, and line balancing.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production resources.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Automobile Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 25 years of experience in Automotive, Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Engineering, or Manufacturing Industries.
- Hands-on experience in Laser Cutting Machines, Robot Welding, Assembly, and Fixture Fitting is preferred.
- Good knowledge of SAP production transactions.
- Experience in production planning, manpower management, and shop floor operations.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, fabrication processes, welding symbols, and quality standards is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, and continuous improvement tools is preferred.
