Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Tekla Modelers to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing accurate 3D structural steel models and detailing using Tekla Structures for US Commercial, Industrial, and Oil & Gas projects.

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of structural steel detailing standards, connection detailing, and fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, GA drawings, erection drawings, and shop drawings.
- Create and maintain models for Commercial, Industrial, and Oil & Gas projects.
- Generate reports including BOMs, NC files, and material lists.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, checkers, and detailing teams.
- Review engineering and design drawings and incorporate revisions into Tekla models.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and applicable US standards.
- Perform clash detection and resolve detailing issues.
- Meet project schedules while maintaining quality standards.




- Participate in project review meetings and support continuous process improvements.

Required Skills

- 4+ years of experience in Tekla Structures modeling/detailing.
- Strong experience in US Steel Detailing Projects.
- Exposure to Commercial, Industrial, and Oil & Gas projects is mandatory.
- Good understanding of structural steel connections and fabrication practices.
- Knowledge of AISC, OSHA, AWS, and other relevant US standards.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings, erection drawings, and GA drawings.
- Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
- Experience working with international clients, particularly US-based projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other detailing software is an added advantage.
