Role Overview
We are looking for a Mid-Level Hardware Engineer to take complete ownership of the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle. You will work across the full stackfrom client requirements and schematic capture to PCB layout, PCBA vendor coordination, and hands-on bench testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Translate client/product needs into clear hardware specifications and design constraints.
- Schematic & Circuit Design: Design schematics for embedded systems, selecting components based on performance, cost, and availability.
- PCB Layout: Perform PCB design, addressing signal integrity, power delivery, thermal management, and EMI/EMC.
- PCBA & Vendor Coordination: Manage BOMs, perform DFM/DFA reviews, and coordinate with fabrication/assembly partners.
- Hardware Bring-Up & Testing: Conduct bench-level debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with firmware/software engineers for board bring-up and maintain detailed technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the full hardware development cycle.
- Portfolio Required: A strong portfolio demonstrating past schematic design, PCB layout, and hardware validation projects.
- EDA Tools: Proficiency in Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Circuit Design Fundamentals: Solid background in analog & digital circuits, power supply design, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB).
- Microcontrollers: Experience designing around microprocessors/microcontrollers.
- Manufacturing: Working knowledge of Gerber files, BOMs, and DFM/DFA principles.
Nice to Have
- Basic embedded firmware (C/C++) knowledge for hardware bring-up.
- Experience with wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa) or sensor integration.
- Familiarity with FCC/CE compliance standards.
- Prior experience in engineering services or client-facing roles.
