Job Summary

The Deputy General Manager Interior Procurement is responsible for leading the procurement function for interior fit-out projects by ensuring timely sourcing and procurement of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E;), MEP items, and subcontract services. The role focuses on achieving optimum cost, quality, and delivery while developing strategic supplier partnerships and supporting project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
- Establish procurement policies, processes, and best practices.

Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain approved vendor databases.
- Build long-term relationships with key vendors and negotiate annual rate contracts.

Sourcing & Purchasing

- Lead procurement of interior fit-out materials including:
- Wood and plywood
- Laminates and veneers
- Modular furniture
- Glass and aluminium
- Stone and tiles
- Paints and finishes
- Hardware and fittings
- Ceiling systems
- Flooring materials
- Lighting fixtures
- MEP materials
- Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E;)

- Ensure procurement complies with project specifications, budgets, and delivery schedules.

Commercial Negotiation

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
- Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on technical and commercial evaluations.




- Finalize purchase orders and contracts within approved authority limits.

Project Coordination

- Work closely with Design, Estimation, Project Management, Planning, QS, and Finance teams.
- Monitor procurement schedules to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
- Resolve procurement-related issues affecting project timelines.

Cost Control

- Track procurement budgets and material costs.
- Monitor market trends and commodity price fluctuations.
- Drive procurement savings while maintaining quality standards.

Inventory & Logistics

- Coordinate with warehouse and site teams for material planning and inventory optimization.
- Minimize excess inventory and material shortages.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Contract & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations.
- Maintain procurement documentation, vendor agreements, and audit records.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and statutory requirements.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor procurement executives and buyers.
- Set departmental KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA/Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain or Operations Management is preferred.

Experience

- 12–18 years of experience in procurement within the interior fit-out, construction, or contracting industry.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing procurement teams.
- Experience handling large commercial, hospitality, retail, corporate office, healthcare, or residential fit-out projects.
