Procurement Solar EPC

Job Summary

The Procurement is responsible for procuring quality materials at competitive prices, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely material availability for successful project execution. The role requires robust negotiation, communication, and coordination skills to achieve sales targets while optimizing procurement costs.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

- Source solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, ACDB/DCDB panels, earthing materials, and other Balance of System (BOS) components.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare comparative cost analyses.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order status.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
- Coordinate with stores and project teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Verify material quality and specifications before dispatch or receipt.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier agreements, invoices, and warranty documents.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate between customers, suppliers, engineering, finance,



and installation teams.
- Ensure materials are available according to project schedules.
- Track project progress and update customers on milestones.
- Support commissioning and project handover activities.
- Resolve procurement or delivery issues that may impact project timelines.

Payment & Documentation

- Coordinate with customers for advance and milestone payments.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding invoices and payment schedules.
- Maintain all sales and procurement documentation accurately.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, procurement, and project status.

Key Skills Required

- Knowledge of solar PV systems and Solar EPC projects.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Vendor and customer relationship management.
- Cost estimation and quotation preparation.
- Procurement and inventory management.
- Understanding of net metering and government solar policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM/ERP software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
