Relevant Experience

- 2+ years of Professional/Technical Experience in Telecom.
- Good knowledge in Planning & Designing of FTTx Network.
- Hands-on experience in using GIS/Drafting Tools like MapInfo, SpatialNet, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
- Capable of handling teams and maintaining Quality Factory.
- Knowledge of Fiber Network Architecture and specifications.
- Sound understanding of OSP/ISP construction standards and field practices.
- Planning and design expertise in FTTP, FTTB, FTTC, FTTN, and HFC technologies.
- Preferred good understanding of Method of Measurements for Design and construction of FTTx Network & MDU.
- Ability to prepare BOQ and BOM for MDU Designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Planning and Design of FTTx Network using GIS tools.
- Perform Quality Control on design delivery.
- Provide training and improve team efficiency.
- Work on different GIS datasets and create current information or investigate patterns using MapInfo, QGIS, ArcGIS, SpatialNet, or other GIS tools.
- Deliver end-to-end design services including:
- Detail Design
- Survey Packs
- Validation of survey reports and site designs received from the field
- Construction Plans in AutoCAD
- BOM/BOQ preparation

- Communicate with stakeholders regarding design rejections and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Field Teams for required information.
- Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for telecommunications equipment.
- Create power designs as per power utility guidelines.
- Communicate with field teams for additional data or clarification as required.
- Review and validate field redlines, survey updates, and construction completion documents to prepare accurate As-Built designs.
- Update GIS databases, AutoCAD drawings, and network records to reflect the final installed FTTx infrastructure, including fibre routes, joints, splitters, and customer connections.




- Prepare and deliver As-Built documentation, including revised construction drawings, BOM/BOQ updates, and asset records in accordance with customer standards and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with field teams and construction partners to resolve discrepancies between approved designs and actual site installations, ensuring complete and accurate network records.

Technical Competencies

- Understanding of telecommunications transmission networks, Outside Plant (OSP) deployment, and multiple FTTx technologies.
- Experience in Copper/Fiber Access Networks, field practices, quality standards, testing standards, and fibre network architecture.
- Knowledge of cable, joint, and equipment installation techniques.
- Understanding of aerial and underground cabling methodologies.

Knowledge / Skills

- Valuable understanding of OSP/ISP construction activities.
- Design optical fibre cable networks for commercial and residential premises, including Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs).
- Expertise in FTTN, FTTB, FTTC technologies and MDU designs.
- Good knowledge of BOQ and BOM preparation for FTTx designs.
- Strong GIS skills with two or more GIS software packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good documentation, training, and process writing skills.
