Job Title: Business Development Executive/Lead cum Account Management

1 Position: Southern India (Preferred: Chennai,

Experience: 5+ years in Transportation and Logistics

Qualification: Any Graduate -

Preferable in Logistics & Supply Chain

Language Required: English, Hindi, and Tamil (Must for Southern role; Hindi & English

essential for Western role)

Job Type: Full time, On-site

Industry Knowledge:

a) Hands-on experience in Cement, Steel, and /or Automotive, or Heavy Engineering, Defence logistics.

Vehicle Expertise

a) In-depth understanding of bulker tankers, open-body trucks, trailers, and containerized transport.

Operations Expertise:

a) Cement: Bulker tankers and open-body trucks for bagged cement.

b) Steel: Open Punjabi body trucks and trailer vehicles for pipes, and trailers coils, and sheets

c) Automotive: Closed containers (LCVs, 20ft, 24ft, 32ft SXL/MXL) for auto parts especially line-feeding (JIT) and Long-hau movements.

d) Defence & Heavy Engineering: Specialized closed-body and open/trailer vehicles (security-compliant) for sensitive cargo.

Client Handling:





a) Proven experience in managing B2B clients directly.

b) Must have handled at least 3 to 5 major accounts.

c) Build and maintain long-term relationships with client logistics heads, procurement managers, and operations leads

d) Under client specific transportation requirements, SLAs, and compliance standards

Tech Proficiency:

a) Working knowledge of RFI, RFQ, GEM & Ulip Portal, Excel workings, and ERP tools (SAP - Ariba).

Communication: a) Fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil. b) Must be able to communicate with drivers, clients, and vendors confidently.

Problem-Solving:

a) Hands-on with market rates in the region with Market Brokers, and Fleet Operators b) Ability to identify the market rate swiftly for the specified industry

Reporting:

a) Prepare and maintain weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Development reports (Lead, Prospects and client account).
