Job Summary

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to research and innovation, and supporting departmental and institutional activities. The incumbent is expected to promote academic excellence while actively participating in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and student development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science & Engineering as per the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, course files, lecture materials, and laboratory manuals.
- Conduct theory, laboratory, tutorials, and project guidance sessions.
- Evaluate students through assignments, quizzes, internal assessments, practical examinations, and semester examinations.
- Maintain student attendance and academic records as per institutional and university regulations.
- Adopt innovative teaching methodologies and ICT-enabled learning practices.

Student Mentoring

- Serve as a faculty mentor for assigned students.
- Guide students in academic, career, and personal development.
- Support students in internships, projects, placements, hackathons, coding competitions, and technical events.

Research & Publications

- Undertake quality research in emerging areas of Computer Science.
- Publish research papers in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and conferences.
- Apply for funded research projects, consultancy assignments, patents, and copyrights.
- Encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among students.





Academic Administration

- Participate in curriculum design, syllabus revision, and outcome-based education (OBE) implementation.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for NBA, NAAC, AICTE, and Anna University compliance.
- Assist in departmental audits, accreditation processes, and quality initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory infrastructure and ensure effective utilization of departmental resources.

Institutional Responsibilities

- Organize seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, guest lectures, conferences, and technical symposiums.
- Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
- Participate in admission activities, orientation programmes, parent meetings, and outreach initiatives.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the HoD, Principal, or Management.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering or a relevant specialization with First Class.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Qualifications should be as per AICTE and Anna University norms.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms,



Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, and Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Python).
- Hands-on experience with modern development tools, programming environments, and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Bloom's Taxonomy, and accreditation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and online teaching platforms.

- Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective planning, organization, and time management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Experience

- Freshers with excellent academic credentials may apply.
- Prior teaching, research, or industry experience in Computer Science & Engineering will be an added advantage.
