Key Responsibilities

Shift Timings : US Shift Timings

1. Transportation Planning & Execution:

- Plan and schedule outbound freight.
- Coordinate shipment tendering and carrier selection based on cost, transit time, and service requirements.
- Optimize shipment consolidation opportunities and transportation routes.
- Balance delivery requirements with costs and operational capacity.
- Ensure transportation plan aligns with production and customer delivery schedules.
- Review BOLs and highlight problems while working with partners for resolutions.

2. Carrier Management

- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and logistics partners.
- Monitor carrier performance including:
- On-time pick up
- On-time delivery
- Freight claims
- Transportation costs
- Transportation issues
- Escalate service failures
- Request and support corrective action initiatives
- Participate in quarterly business reviews to review carrier performance

3. Shipment Tracking & Issue Resolution

- Monitor shipment statuses




- Proactively identify and resolve transportation delays, damages, shortages, and delivery exceptions.
- Communicate shipment status updates to internal stakeholders
- Coordinate recovery plans for at-risk shipments.

4. Reporting & analysis

- Analyse transportation costs, service performance, and operational trends.
- Develop and maintain logistics dashboards
- Track key metrics including freight spend, cost per shipment, cost per pallet, on-time pickup and delivery, transit times, claims
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

5. Cross-functional collaboration

- Partner with order processing, demand planning, production, and shipping to align shipping schedules
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on improving logistics

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Solid understanding of transportation & logistics operations in North America including LTL, PTL, FTL, and Final Mile freight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft platform, Especially focused on Excel (Pivot tables, lookup).
- Experience with ERP (Infor, Visual, SAP).
- Analytical and problem solving mindset.
- Organization and time-management.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Logistics experience in manufacturing.
