Position Overview

Korcomptenz is seeking an accomplished Principal AI & Data Architect to join our high-impact AI, Data & Analytics Practice. In this senior practice technical leadership role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions across modern Lakehouse architectures, cloud-native data platforms, and AI-augmented decisioning systems for our clients across manufacturing, Healthcare, BFSI, retail, and other industries. You will serve as the foremost data architecture & AI authority on client engagements, influencing C-suite stakeholders, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring that Korcomptenz's solutions reflect industry best practices in data management, governance, and emerging AI capabilities. This role will report directly to SVP & Practice Head - AI, Data & Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect end-to-end enterprise data platforms incorporating medallion-architecture lake houses, data lakes, data warehouses
- Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric estates, including OneLake, Fabric Data Engineering, Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Real-Time Analytics workloads
- Drive selection and adoption of modern big data architectural patterns, including Lambda, Kappa, Data Mesh,



and Federated Compute, aligned to client context
- Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, integration patterns, and migration pathways from legacy environments to modern platforms
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical, and lakehouse workloads using industry standards (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault 2.0)
- Own enterprise data modelling standards, naming conventions, and model review processes across engagements
- Establish metadata management strategies: business glossaries, data dictionaries, data lineage, technical and operational metadata registries
- Define and operationalize data governance frameworks covering data ownership, stewardship, access control, and lifecycle management
- Architect data quality solutions for profiling, cleansing, monitoring, and SLA-based alerting, embedded within ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Architect data foundations that support GenAI and Agentic AI use cases, including RAG pipelines, vector stores, semantic layers, and knowledge graphs/ontologies
- Design and oversee implementation of agentic AI workflows leveraging frameworks such as Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, LangGraph
- Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases for clients, including decisioning, forecasting, anomaly detection, document intelligence, and conversational analytics
- Define data readiness criteria and governance guardrails for responsible AI adoption within enterprise environments
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineering teams to bridge data platform capabilities with model training, fine-tuning, and inference pipelines
- Engage directly with CxO, CDO, and VP-level client stakeholders as a trusted advisor on data strategy and platform modernization
- Produce architecture reference documents, roadmaps, data strategy decks, and RFP/RFI responses
- Mentor senior data engineers, data modelers, and BI architects across project teams
- Contribute to Korcomptenz's internal IP, including reference architectures, accelerators, and go-to-market collaterals
- Represent Korcomptenz at industry events, webinars,



and client workshops as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 8 years in dedicated data architecture and platform engineering roles
- Proven hands-on delivery of large-scale data Lakehouse projects using medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture in production environments
- Deep expertise architecting and implementing data lakes and enterprise data warehouses on Azure (ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks) and/or AWS / GCP
- Strong, hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience across One Lake architecture, Fabric Data Engineering (Spark), Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflow Gen2, Fabric Real-Time Intelligence
- Hands-on implementation experience with GenAI solutions (RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning) and Agentic AI workflows on cloud platforms
- Advanced expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling across dimensional, and Lakehouse paradigms
- Deep knowledge of master data management, reference data management, and data stewardship operating models
- Expertise in metadata management: business glossaries, data dictionaries, technical metadata, and automated lineage capture
- Proven ability to design and govern data quality frameworks, including DQ rules, profiling, monitoring, and remediation workflows
- Strong grounding in the DAMA-DMBOK knowledge areas and their practical enterprise applications
- Experience operating in a consulting / professional services workplace with multi-client engagement management
- Industry-vertical expertise in manufacturing, Healthcare, BFSI, or retail
- Prior experience contributing & driving product strategy, pre-sales pursuits, architecture workshops for clients

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant Microsoft Certifications
- Experience with Power BI Embedded, or similar enterprise decisioning and analytics platforms
- Familiarity with SAPMicrosoft integration patterns: ODP/CDC replication, SAP Datasphere, BDC Connect, and Open Mirroring into Fabric
- Exposure to Data Mesh organizational patterns, including domain ownership, federated governance, and self-serve data infrastructure

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (required)
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Analytics (preferred)
- Relevant professional certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, or AI engineering are strongly valued
