Key Responsibilities

- Own and preserve the design intent of products throughout the Recent Product Development (NPD) process.
- Apply user-centred design principles and design thinking methodologies to create meaningful product experiences.
- Conduct customer research, user interviews, and field observations to identify pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities for innovation.
- Synthesize user insights, market research, and cross-industry trends to develop innovative product concepts aligned with Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD).
- Brainstorm, conceptualise, and develop product styling solutions that enhance usability, aesthetics, and customer value.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
- Develop and evaluate prototypes, mock-ups, and models to validate product functionality, desirability, ergonomics, and user experience.
- Define and refine product form, styling, aesthetics, colour, material, finish, graphics (CMFG), fit, and functional details while maintaining design integrity.
- Monitor global design trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences to translate them into future-ready product solutions.
- Conduct concept validation sessions and incorporate user feedback into design improvements.
- Support the development of a robust innovation pipeline by generating and evaluating new product ideas.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations of design concepts and final solutions to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Create product graphics and visual assets aligned with CMFG strategies and evolving market trends.




- Contribute to the enhancement of design infrastructure, sample libraries, material libraries, and component databases.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution and successful product launches.
- Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor's Degree in Design or Master's Degree in Design (Mandatory).
- 36 years of experience in Consumer Product Design, Industrial Design, Product Styling, or Design & Development.
- Strong understanding of Design Thinking, User-Centred Design (UCD), Human-Centred Design, and the New Product Development (NPD) process.
- Experience in user research, design validation, prototyping, concept development, and product styling.
- Strong knowledge of CMF (Colour, Material & Finish), aesthetics, ergonomics, and product usability.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, KeyShot, or equivalent design software.
- Excellent sketching, visualisation, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Age: 25–30 years.
- Passion for consumer behaviour, innovation, and product design.
- Strong awareness of global design trends, emerging technologies, and market insights.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and business objectives.
- Experience in consumer durables, appliances, or product design organisations will be an added advantage.
