Position Summary... We are hiring a Full Stack Java Developer to build AI driven automation tools for enterprise SQL and NoSQL data platforms. This role focuses on reducing manual DBA effort by automating operational workflows and delivering intelligent, self-service solutions.

About Team:

Data Platforms is responsible for running Walmarts enterprise data infrastructure at global scale. Managed SQL, noSQL database platforms like Cassandra, postgres, SQLserver, azure SQL on multi-cloud (on-prem, Azure, GCP) foot print. The Mission is to automation database operation life cycles seamlessly and integrate with various data tool to bring common standards across platforms. By building intuitive, standards-based DB abstraction layers the team enables developers in the Walmart Global Tech organization to work efficiently across diverse database management systems deployed as PaaS and IaaS solutions. AI & ML solutions to achieve the mission and accelerate development, and ensure portability and scalability for Walmart s applications, supporting our multi-cloud strategy with best-of-breed datastore technology landscape.

What You ll Do:

Build Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, Microservices) for data platform automation

Develop UI and self service tools for Data activities

Integrate AI/ML or LLM-based capabilities for predictive insights and intelligent remediation

Automate provisioning, monitoring, scaling, upgrades and CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Work closely with DBAs and Platform Engineers

Develop cloud native solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

What You ll bring:

Strong Java development (Java 11+, Spring Boot)

Full Stack experience (REST APIs + React/Angular or similar)

Exposure to SQL and/or NoSQL databases Postgres, SQL, Cassandra etc.

AI/ML or Generative AI integration experience (must-have)

Experience building automation or internal platforms

Nice to Have

Exposure to Cassandra, Cosmos DB, Kafka

Python for AI/ML workflows

Experience in data platform or infrastructure automation

Experience range will be between 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
