Job Summary

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Fruits & Vegetables department by ensuring product freshness, stock availability, attractive merchandising, inventory accuracy, and excellent customer service while achieving sales and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily department operations and team performance.
- Ensure product freshness, quality, and stock availability.
- Control inventory, wastage, and shrinkage using FIFO/FEFO.
- Execute merchandising, pricing, and promotional displays.
- Achieve sales, margin, and productivity targets.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and SOP compliance.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement for timely replenishment.




- Handle customer queries and ensure high service standards.

- Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours if required.

Qualification

- 3-6 years of experience in supermarket, hypermarket, or organized retail, preferably in the Fruits & Vegetables department.
